To improve the mental well-being of both kids and adults. People have become increasingly reliant on electronics and spend less time outdoors which has shown to have a negative impact on mental health. To combat this issue, I wanted to encourage people to spend more time outside and enjoy nature. According to the American Psychological Association, "Spending time in nature is linked to both cognitive benefits and improvements in mood, mental health, and emotional well-being."
With help from the Friend of West Windsor and the West Windsor Environmental Commission, I am creating a meditation garden to promote overall mental wellness.
